Kamado Stupas
Kamado Stupas, 25 kilometers from the county, stands on the right side of the National Route 317. Located at the foot of the mountain and facing the river, the stupas is just like to be inserted inside a landscape painting. Nearby the stupas are sky-reaching ancient trees and evergreen pines and cypresses. Among the luxuriantly greenness is an exquisite chapel with several tall Prayer Tubes erected on both sides. The statue of Master Padmanatesvara is particularly enshrined among all the Buddhist statues inside. It is said there were 108 stupas in the past. Now there are several tens of restored and newly built stupas here. Among them are octagon stupas that is made according to strictly regulated ways, square-shaped stupas, tall stupas as high as several tens of meters and stupas below 3 meters. Huge Mani Stones are piled behind the chapel. On the surface of the stone are carved Six Holy Words and Buddhist images. |
